Many people wonder what rescue tubes are and why they are so highly recommended by Guard training agencies and the American Red Cross.
Rescue tubes are floating tubes designed to help rescuers rescue victims from the water, which can be used in many ways.
It can be handed or tossed to a struggling conscious victim within a close distance who can then hang onto it while being pulled to safety. Or in some cases the rescue tube is necessary in supporting both the rescuer and the victim. For example, it can be very difficult and tiring to swim with someone who is unconscious and keep both of your heads above water. Using a rescue tube gives you support and so you can save other's lives.
The bright red color means it will be easy to spot in an emergency. It's lightweight - at just 5 lbs. It will never absorb water, nor will it rot or attract mildew.
Rescue tubes can be used on beaches, at water parks, swimming pools, lakes and even schools that have swimming pools.
